Chien Ming Wang was the only player to play on two Staten Island Yankees Championship team.  He led the Baby Bombers to victory in 2000 and again in 2002.  To play in the NY Penn League may not seem like a good thing to do for more than one season but you have to take into consideration that he missed the 2001 season to shoulder surgery.

Well on July 27th 2006, the Staten Island Yankees thanked Wang for his efforts by retiring his number and the spineless Bourogh President Molinaro (who hasn't shown his face since blasting the Getzler family in the press) named it Chein Ming Wang Day on Staten Island.  It was a hot sticky night but it was a splendid time for all.  Oh yeah, they gave out Wang Bobbleheads to the first 2000 fans.  And in case you have been living under a rock this year Chien Ming Wang is in his second season with the New York Yankees.
