Here’s an interesting item for your Yankee Library.  It is called Yankee Shorts.  No it is not about your Pinstriped Boxers but a collection of one liners that will leave you rolling on the floor.  It is by author Glenn Liebman who also penned such stories as:

Now he brings you the Yankee Fan, Yankee Shorts.  Brought up in New York as the son of a Dodger Fan, Liebman was destined to become a Mets Fan.  However a stint at college in Bosox territory helped him convert to Pinstripe Paradise.

Well Bomber Buddies, like we promised you we keep looking for the most interesting items to recommend to you for great reading about our beloved New York Yankees, past and present. A book titled ‘YANKEE SHORTS’ was reviewed and we want to tell you it.  The author does a great job of not only being very humorous but tells you about the real goings on behind the scenes that the media does not cover fully.  It includes many of the old timers that most of us never really knew anything about except yours truly who can remember Lazzeri, Crosetti, Ruth, Gehrig of long ago and also the greatest player of all times Joltin Joe DiMaggio.

You can read some of the funniest quotes and they are all listed by subject.  For example here is a quote about Yankee Slugger Reggie Jackson:

“He’d give you the shirt off his back. Of course, he’d call a press conference to announce it.”  ….Jim “Catfish” Hunter.

When you read this book you not only get plenty of laughs but you feel like you are there with the players.  We really feel that you should obtain a copy (legally do not shop lift please) of “YANKEE SHORTS” written by Glenn Liebman, you will see why once you read the book.  After reading Yankee Shorts I had to go on line an pick up some of his other titles.
